Lahti SO and Rajaton will have a Queen concert ‘A Kind of Magic’ in August 2006

The Lahti Symphony Orchestra and vocal ensemble Rajaton break once again musical boundaries by performing in August-September 2006 music by the legendary rock group Queen in the concert ‘A Kind Magic’. The concerts can only be heard in Lahti at the Sibelius Hall in three consecutive nights on 30 and 31 August and 1 September at 7 pm. The performances are conducted by Jaakko Kuusisto, who makes also new orchestral arrangements for the concerts. The performances are directed by Lasse Kantola with whom the orchestra has worked earlier in connection with e.g. Chess, ABBA and Beatles concerts. The ticket sales begin on 26 April 2006.



The Queen concerts continue the successful series of concerts the Lahti SO has made together with Rajaton, e.g. ABBA and Beatles concerts. The programme of the Queen concerts in Lahti include many of the greatest hits of the band, e.g. We Will Rock You, The Miracle, I Want It All, We Are The Champions, Who Wants To Live Forever and The Show Must Go On.
