May Day Concert Online

For decades the Lahti Symphony Orchestra has been putting on May Day concerts; this is part of the Lahti May Day tradition. Whilst the coronavirus epidemic prevents public gatherings from taking place, the Lahti Symphony Orchestra is presenting its traditional May Day matinée free online starting at 1 pm on 1 May 2020. The concerts lasts approx. 1 hour and will also be available to watch later.

This very entertaining musical journey, featuring 68 musicians in small groups, was recorded in the Kalevi Aho Hall of the Lahti College of Music, with studio presenters at the Pikkuteatteri. The concert is presented in collaboration with Etelä-Suomen Sanomat.
